County Durham

restaurant reviews

County Durham is a big county, and outside of Durham city centre the quantity and quality of restaurants can be patchy, but there’s more worth finding than you might expect. Durham city is where most of the action is, with an improving independent food scene that’s finally starting to get some genuine destination restaurants, like Coarse.

Beyond the city, coverage gets thinner, I try to keep it local to Newcastle, but places like Darlington do have some pockets of good stuff. I’ll keep it all here — if I ever get down there.
