Newcastle

restaurant reviews

Newcastle is my home and where this site is based, nurtured and grown. It’s also where the majority of reviews on this site live. The city’s restaurant scene started to find its feet in the early 2010s and hasn’t really looked back. Before then was almost unrecognisable.

The range now is impressive, from the likes of Solstice which is as good as any 2* restaurant in the UK to the beloved Grainger Market. Still my go-to recommendation in the city for a cheap, quick, and often brilliant lunch. In between, you’ve got the famous Quayside, the trendy High Bridge, and loads of hidden gems slightly off the beaten track.

This page covers all of it: every Newcastle restaurant review on the site, from NE1 city centre outwards. Dig into specific neighbourhoods below, or browse the heart of Newcastle here.
