- loved the ten year menu @theroxburgh “egg and chips”
- soup back in full swing with squash and paprika
- new weekly haunt at the home of foam = lager, chin chin and scampi fries

August leftovers, but don’t mention the Autumn… - Prawn salad at @cafe.ngon was really fresh and just what I needed
- Finally got to the Feathers for the Saturday bakery — even better than expected, and bloody huge
- Big lunch at @snackwallah, all pleasingly healthy-ish
- Had some tapas at Fuego in Fenwick, the best of which might have been this gooey tortilla which was rammed with jamon
- Kottu from @kolamba.newcastle was finally something slightly outshining a lot of the Quayside market
- Pleasantly supsrursed by @chakhdhoomnewcastle and the tikka three ways was well done
- Salt + vinegar and a bowl of these to soak up some pints
- When it was really sunny and all we were eating was ripe tomatoes
- Apricot and almond slice from Pure Knead
- Can’t complain at a fiver Bloody Mary at Mercy Trying some places new and old this month and will be clinging onto the last bounty of summer for as long as possible. Where’s been on your radar? #newcastleeats #foodblog #august2024

July leftovers - Carnitas at home, always a treat. Bought the blue corn tortillas online which made it super easy
- Definitely still the OG scotch egg in town, the haggis just gives it that 🤌🏼
- Quayside market has a lot of good and bad on it now, but enjoyed this Korean fried chicken
- See also this of a similar but different Ilk, pretty nicely spiced and satisfying (if, a tenner)
- One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time, comically large and juicy
- Birthday cavas ofc
- Mid slice that looked better than it was, but all the basics are there
- Satay chicken and a dumpling from somewhere new for lunch
- Caramelised onion and Cornish cheddar pie at home
- Bought in pasta with some of spring’s wild garlic butter from the freezer coming to the rescue Lot more to come which I haven’t posted on social but I will when I remember. Happy August 🌞 #newcastleeats #july2024 #foodblog

Plates from San Sebastián 🇪🇸 - “worlds best” tortilla lives up to the hype
- best ever baby squid
- always a plate of jamon iberico de bellota
- pintxos display at our fave
- the purest tomatoes, oil, vinegar and salt
- kilo of txuleta, just salt and padrons on the side
- baked crab with tomato carrot and bags of flavour
- going Italian for a day with a monster focaccia
- the OG basque cheesecake
- glass 1 of about 10000 of txakoli and some txistorra Phenomenal place. #pintxos #basquecuisine #sansebastian #spanishfood
