Sunderland – well for a Newcastle-based blog, it’s a bit of a no-go isn’t it?

Even so, it’s an absolute culinary wasteland. There’s cheap Italians en-masse, the quintessential cheesy chips, and well that’s about it. I don’t imagine the Michelin inspectors will be visiting Springwell, Pallion, or Pennywell anytime soon…
